France: Construction Update - Why isn’t the construction industry picking up?

The French construction industry is sending contradictory signals: while inflation and interest rate expectations are gradually easing, the long-awaited market recovery is still failing to materialise. Residential construction in particular remains deeply affected — permits are declining sharply, developments are being postponed or cancelled, and investors continue to hold back. Why is the market not recovering? Is this merely a delayed response to changing monetary policy — or is the French construction sector facing a more structural crisis? In our webinar, we analyse the latest market data, political framework conditions and economic mechanisms behind the ongoing weakness of the French construction industry. Which segments are already stabilising? Where are risks increasing further? And how realistic are expectations of a short-term recovery?

Turkey: Construction Insights 06/2026 – Strong Demand, Tougher Project Economics

Demand for housing, urban renewal and infrastructure remains substantial in Turkey. Yet turning that demand into completed projects has become increasingly challenging. High inflation, elevated financing costs and economic uncertainty are putting pressure on project economics across residential, non-residential and infrastructure construction. At the same time, the need for urban transformation, earthquake-related replacement and industrial investment remains significant. This creates a central question for the Turkish construction market: If demand is still there, what is preventing projects from moving forward? In this webinar, we examine the forces shaping Turkey's construction sector after the 2023 earthquake. We analyse the role of inflation, financing conditions, affordability and investment decisions, and discuss which segments are showing resilience, where risks are increasing and what this means for future construction activity.
